Hello, you gorgeous multidimensional life form, you!
It’s confession time: I used to think being psychic meant always knowing everything. Psychics can read everyone’s thoughts all the time, answer every question, and constantly see dead people, right? Well, maybe some of them can. But the more I learn about intuition and explore my own, the more I realize that there are different types of psychic abilities, and many potential ways to have a “psychic” experience.
What is up my weird, wild, and wonderful witches?!?
While Tarot cards have been pretty popular for a while now, the uncertainty 2020 has brought seems to be increasing interest even more. Thanks to my witchy mama, I grew up with these beautiful cards, and can personally vouch for how helpful they are to have as guidance for navigating life. After years of studying and using Tarot cards, I have decided it’s time to share what I know by putting together this guide.
I am so excited to share how to read Tarot for beginners and beyond! Today you will learn how to read for yourself and for others, using your intuition for a deeper understanding. Ready? Let’s do this!
Alright, I have officially thrown in the towel that is Tarot Tuesday. In the darkly humorous science fiction world of our current reality, weekdays no longer seem relevant anyway. Let’s be real: I can’t keep track of what day of the week it is, and neither can you, most likely. But one thing will always be certain: I am incapable of going longer than a week without talking about Tarot. So here we go again!
Call it what you want: Tarot time, Tarot talk, Tarot tips, Tarot tip talk time… anyway. This week instead of picking a Tarot card to chat about, I am switching things up! I have a fabulous Tarot tip to bestow upon your magical self: a game-changing Tarot hack. Lazy witches rejoice! It’s time to learn how to interpret Tarot cards the easy way.
Damn, it’s almost time to water my plants again already?!? As this Tuesday sheds its skin and slithers into yet another Wednesday, my hazy brain keeps reflecting a Tarot card full that has been coming up in my readings a lot lately: the Seven of Cups.
Wow, y’all really let me get away with skipping Tarot Tuesday, huh? I’ll admit, in the absence of a regular routine, my concept of time has been completely distorted! It feels like just yesterday we were talking about the Hanged Man, but that was over a week ago! Anyway, welcome back to your Tarot Tuesday, on a Thursday.
Last night’s epic full moon in Scorpio really captured my full attention! Sometimes I don’t feel much during the buildup towards the full moon, but throughout the week I became increasingly aware of a palpable intensity in the air. Turns out I wasn’t alone; several friends have reached out to me describing a particular feeling of restlessness, passionate energy, and drive to DO something! So it sounds like the perfect time to discuss one of my favorite cards, THE MOON!
Ooooh, do I have a good one for you today! Welcome back to another Tarot Tuesday. I know I have been hitting you hard with the intense cards lately, but let’s face it, they are especially relevant at the moment. I know that some of the scarier looking cards in the deck can inspire fear and a desire to just uhh, put that card away and draw another one, but that’s not what they’re for! Upon further inspection, none of the “scary” cards are as doomy and gloomy as their dramatic illustrations make them seem. Sure, challenging situations that force you to grow can be intimidating, but the whole point of reflection during these times is to learn the lessons that need to be learned to get stronger. So today we’ll be hanging out with the Hanged Man! (Or, as my other deck calls it, the Hanged Unicorn.)
Well hello there! Here we are again. Another day, huh?
Today in San Francisco, we received word that our stay-at-home orders will continue for at least another month. And while it has become clear that we are all sooo over being in time-out, it is also painfully obvious that we must continue all the good work we have put in to continue to “flatten the curve” so that we can keep our community as safe as possible during this crisis.
Yes, I am a full-time magical gal, but up until the shutdown, I have also been working as a full-time hairstylist. Like many others, I am currently in a super weird state of limbo, unable to go back to the salon until it is deemed safe by the powers that be. This is certainly a hardship, yet I know my focus must remain on what I can do. With uncertainty in the air and bad news everywhere, I know it is vital to support our community by continuing to put a little more magic in the world in any way I can. Hence the juicy morsels of enchantment served up on here daily.
As someone who has been researching and reading Tarot cards since childhood, I have been receiving a lot of requests for readings! This is certainly an excellent time for insight, clarity, and guidance — all things that a great Tarot reading provides. I would like to formally offer this as a service to anyone in need.
It is deeply important to me to be here for you for all your magical needs. I kindly ask that you consider making a donation for these services. Anything at all will help so much during this challenging time! My suggested donation is $10 per card; I offer readings for anywhere from one to eleven cards, your choice. Each reading will include a photo and a full write-up.
Please feel free to request a reading via either one of my Instagram pages: @californiawitchcraft or @unicornface, or using the form here. I am looking forward to connecting with you, and connecting you with your magic! Remember: I am here for you. I will always remind you that YOU ARE MAGIC. Talk to you soon!
Greetings, earthlings! I hope everyone had a fabulous 4/20 4/20 from home. Word on the street is it’s a Tuesday, so here we are already again for another Tarot Tuesday! Is it just me or is time becoming less and less real? Tomorrow will be my weekly plant watering Wednesday and that felt like yesterday. Anyway, let’s chat about life, cannabis, and the Four of Cups.
Hello and welcome to a version of reality that gets weirder by the day!
Since most of us are spending a lot of time alone with our hands (you can go ahead and make some jokes here but I won’t), why not take the opportunity to take a closer look and learn a little beginner palmistry? You can gain some insight on yourself for now, and you’ll have a cool party trick for when parties are legal again, whenever that day comes.
Welcome back to your weekly Tarot Tuesday! It’s official, humanity is collectively experiencing some very strange and vivid dreams. (Both the waking and the sleeping kind, come to think of it. Maybe we’ve been in a dream this entire time? Anyway.) The other night I had a dream that I got “TEMPERANCE” tattooed in very big bold capital letters across my arm. Ironically, I got it done very hastily, realizing only when I returned home and took off the bandage that the word had been spelled wrong.
So why is “TEMPERANCE” calling for attention, especially now? Merriam-Webster defines the word “temperance” as “moderation” or “voluntary self-restraint.” So why tell me to chill when I’ve been chilling? We have all been at home; no one is exactly going wild at the moment. But this could be the perfect time to reflect on how we have been living, and how best to find balance in our lives moving forward.
